Synchrony VP, Financial Systems - Cloud ERP Leader in Dallas, Texas
Job Description:
Role Summary/Purpose:
The Financial Systems Cloud ERP Leader is responsible for managing the support and operations for a group of technologies that enable the Accounting function. This role is responsible to manage the full application lifecycle of the solutions, from inception through development, deployment, and continuous improvement. This role will collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize and implement enhancements, oversee the solutions performance, and ensure compliance with security and governance policies.
Specifically, this role will be responsible for contributing to system design, functional configuration planning and overall cloud ERP implementation leadership. This individual will own the validation and communication around how the target ERP system will satisfy project requirements. An ideal candidate will have appropriate cloud ERP experience including General Ledger and Fixed Assets to challenge integrator recommendations to ensure the best long-term solution.

Essential Responsibilities:
Product Solution Design & Technical Requirements
Oversee planning and execution of end-to-end Cloud ERP transformative program through implementation and user community support, with a focus on the coordination of functional and technology objectives
Collaborate with stakeholders to define the process changes that contemplate an updated data model, simplification & standardization objectives and align to fit to standard Cloud ERP technology principles
Understand the organization's core internal & external reporting and data requirements
Partner closely with technology teams to ensure target state data architecture meets finance reporting objectives
Influence and guide key decisions and effectively communicate between stakeholders, champion the project internally and externally, ensure completion within scope, time, and budget constraints
Key contributor for strategy decisions related to data integrations
Drive decisions from chart of accounts changes and lead change impact on upstream and downstream systems
Oversee the definition and execution of user training, end-to-end system testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) associated with large scale transformation initiatives
Actively participate in change management and training initiatives to drive implementation effectiveness, act as a change agent for the organization and liaise with the end user community
Application Portfolio Management
Oversee the management and execution of the Financials / Accounting systems portfolio, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Guarantee the integrity of financial data within the system, supporting regular audits and validations.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate financial / accounting systems and ensure seamless operations.
Continuously researching and staying up-to-date with the latest financial technology trends and advancements.
Demonstrates independence in managing projects and making informed decisions, with competence in prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines and organizational goals.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance/MIS or a minimum of 12 years equivalent experience in the financial services industry
5+ years experience with cloud implementations including General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Accounts Payable and Purchasing
5+ years of financial systems administration experience supporting Closing and Reporting Processes
Cloud ERP System lifecycle support experience including include full lifecycle management and experience with multiple large-scale ERP program methodologies supporting large global user base
Demonstrated experience in leading teams and projects
Cross functional team leadership experience
Desired Characteristics:
Advanced degree (MS, MBA)
Administrator/Super User experience including Close and Consolidation, Accounting Rules Engine with Oracle Cloud ERP or Workday Finance platforms
Experience in the financial services industry
Outstanding communications and relationship building skills with ability to influence internally and externally
Strategic thinking with ability to develop and implement actionable plans to drive business results.
Strong problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to evaluate situations using multiple sources of information.
Outstanding presentation skills - written and oral.
Exceptional project and time management skills as this role is extremely deadline driven.
Collaborative style and approach with comfort working in a matrixed, decentralized structure.
Strong PC proficiency (MS Office Suite) or comparable software applications.
Grade/Level: 13
The salary range for this position is 130,000.00 - 210,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.
Eligibility Requirements:
You must be 18 years or older
You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months' time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don't meet the time in position or performance expectations).
