What you'll do...

About the Team:

The Software and Services team is dedicated to creating robust and scalable solutions that drive Walmart’s business objectives. We operate in an agile environment, focusing on collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. As a Principal Software Engineer, you will play a key role in influencing our technical direction and achieving company goals.

What You’ll Do:

  • Design and develop cloud-native applications using microservices and serverless architectures.

  • Implement cloud security controls and manage identity and access management (IAM).

  • Lead the design of multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud solutions.

  • Guide and mentor technical teams in DevOps practices and CI/CD tools.

  • Conduct root cause analysis and drive application performance improvements.

What You’ll Bring:

  • 8–10 years of experience designing and building high-availability architectures across multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud environments.

  • Expertise in Kubernetes, Docker, serverless computing and event-driven architectures

  • Strong knowledge of cloud security, IAM, and data privacy standards.

  • Cloud certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert or AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional.

  • Excellent communication skills and proven leadership abilities.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
