Ultrasonographer – Obstetrics & Gynecology Associates

Work location: 8160 Walnut Hill Lane, Suite 100, Dallas, TX 75231
Work hours: Full Time Days (8:00am-5:00pm Monday through Thursday, 8:00am-2:30 on Friday) for 40 hrs/week.

Here’s What You Need
· Associate's Degree in Ultrasound Technology Graduate of accredited Ultrasound Technology program (Required) Or
· Completion of the requirements to be certified by RDMS (Required)
· 2 years related experience (Required)
· ARDMS - American Registry for Diagnostic and Medical Sonographers Upon Hire (Required)
· Specific to OB/GYN :
o Must have experience doing gynecological and obstetrical sonograms to include the following:
o Normal and abnormal pelvic anatomy
o Fetal anatomy and biophysical profile
o Fetal anomalies, including ectopic pregnancies
o Appropriate measurement techniques in transabdominal and endovaginal scanning
o Ability to identify what is expected to be seen in all three trimesters of pregnancy
o Must be comfortable verbally explaining all techniques and views to physician and patient
What You Will Do
· Perform diagnostic sonographic examinations utilizing ultrasonic equipment to locate, evaluate and record critical functional, pathological and anatomical data.
· Prepare room for examination, greets patients and educates patients on procedural information as needed. May schedule and coordinate tests.
· Process and manipulates images, analyzes image quality and troubleshoots as needed. Properly records test results.
· Operate, cares for, and maintains equipment. Prepares and maintains operational logs and documents malfunction as needed.
· Maintain equipment and room to sanitary standards. Stocks and orders supplies as needed.
