Job Description:
JOB TITLE: Senior Software Engineer
JOB LOCATION: 208 S. Akard Street, Dallas, TX 75202 [and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.; may work from home]
DUTIES: Translate core architecture for business requirements into final technical solution through functional, performance, and reliability analysis using engineering models and techniques, primarily through software development throughout the vertical stack. Lead the software product development life cycle from inception to production launch and post-production support. Design modular and scalable web components. Lead large cross organizational software development projects. Design, code, test, debug and document new and existing components to ensure that software meets business, quality and operational needs. Align development teams to a shared technical direction and partners with those teams in elaborating the Solution and its interfaces. Work with portfolio stakeholders, Solution and Enterprise Architects to develop, analyze, split and realize the implementation of enablers. Build high quality code following unit testing and test-driven development. Perform application delivery. Build Java-based high-volume/high-transaction applications. Build web applications using Java, Spring and REST. Conduct performance tuning and application monitoring. Utilize the following technology and software: Java/Groovy, REST services, NoSql technologies (Cassandra/MongoDb), Kafka/MQ/Rabbit, Redis/Hazelcast, Kibana, Splunk, Prometheus/Grafana, Git, Jira, Jenkins, Docker and Kubernetes.
REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Applied Computer Science, Computer Science, or Information Systems and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or two (2) years of experience in a related occupation performing application delivery; building Java-based high-volume/high-transaction applications; building web applications using Java, Spring and REST; conducting performance tuning and application monitoring; and utilizing the following technology and software: Java/Groovy, REST services, NoSql technologies (Cassandra/MongoDb), Kafka/MQ/Rabbit, Redis/Hazelcast, Kibana, Splunk, Prometheus/Grafana, Git, Jira, Jenkins, Docker and Kubernetes.
