Allied Universal Technology Services, an Allied Universal® Company, is hiring a Proposal Coordinator. The Proposal Coordinator is responsible for supporting the proposal development and qualification process from the beginning stages to final delivery. This role reviews inputs from engineers, estimators, sales, and other internal departments to ensure proposals contain readable language, consistent factual statements, and responds to statements of requirements. The Proposal Coordinator will manage, create, and distribute content for sales proposals that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audiences.

This is an in-office position, and the ideal candidate would work out of Carrollton, Austin, or Houston, TX, or Omaha, NE.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage, create, and leverage proposal narrative content for sales proposals and marketing material.

  • Grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures

  • Gather and edit technical and commercial proposal content from subject matter experts and modify text as needed

  • Provide proposal development and production support that includes word processing, graphics, formatting, styles, version control, editing, proofing, and final proposal delivery to client

  • Review and interpret the RFP, RFI, RFQ and Pre-Qualification packages; analyze the requirements to ensure that our responses are fully compliant with the customer’s requirements

  • Work closely with the Sales and Engineering teams to ensure consistency within Technical and Commercial proposals and adherence to proposal development processes and deadlines

  • Partner with Proposal Coordinators, Sales teams, Engineering teams to develop and maintain relevant, high-quality boilerplate text for use in future proposals, working with some of the company's largest and most challenging projects across the United States and Globally

  • Perform quality assurance and control checks and facilitate internal reviews of proposal documents

  • Collaborate with other Proposal Coordinators to maintain, monitor, and manage proposal database, files and company information, wihtin internal business systems

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must possess one or more of the following:

  • High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of five (5) years of work experience managing or supporting the proposal development process

  • Bachelor’s degree in product management, business administration, computer science, management sciences, or related field

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience with Adobe, Google Suite, and Microsoft Office (to include Microsoft Sharepoint) applications, preferably with a focus on the development of sales-related materials

  • Exceptional writing and editing abilities with a high-level grasp of grammar and strong attention to detail

  • Demonstrated ability to explain difficult concepts and skill at creating easy-to follow, comprehensive procedures

  • Strong organizational, problem solving and prioritization skills

  • Able to manage multiple tasks while meeting strict deadlines

  • Detail-oriented and organized

  • Strong, planning and reporting skills

  • Possess excellent oral, written communication, and follow-up skills

  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior security, telecom and/or construction industry related work experience and proposal development management and administration
