About the job:

We are currently seeking a Project Manager to support our client in Richardson, TX. The purpose of this position is to lead individual, multi-disciplined data center project solutions for our client, with direct accountability for project delivery. This position will be responsible for implementing multiple medium to large projects from “Inception to Completion”.

What you’ll do:

  • Coordination of all partners required to implement projects of technical spaces across a regional campus.

  • Adherence to timelines by holding themselves and project partners and contractors accountable and informed.

  • Partner with vendors, providing the client with exceptional quality and minimal disruption; minimizing risk, and providing great outcomes.

  • Manage all facets of project management (budget, schedule, procurement, quality & risk) for individual real estate projects including planning, design, construction, occupancy and closeout.

  • Demonstrate capability to read, understand and apply standard to moderately sophisticated documents affecting real estate projects, including but not limited to: agreements/contracts, leases, work letters, project charters, surveys and drawings.

  • Interface directly with clients to define project requirements. Prepares scope of work, project delivery resource requirements, cost estimate & budget, work plan schedule & breakthroughs, quality control, and risk identification.

  • Identify project delivery resources from pre-qualified lists or through individual project qualification process; conducts standard request for proposals; completes bid analysis; recommends resources to clients.

  • Lead project delivery resources/team providing guidance and direction to achieve project goals.

  • Implement communication plan for meetings and written reports/meeting minutes to keep client and project resources informed. Facilitates meetings.

  • Track progress of each project against goals, objectives, approved budgets, approved timelines. Reports status and variances weekly.

  • Implement routines to assess change requests, make recommendations, secure client approvals, and issue change orders. Assesses change requests to determine impacts to scope, budget, schedule, quality and risk.

  • Ability to identify project risks, develop risk mitigation and contingency plans, and implement action plans to reduce or eliminate project risks.

  • Read and interpret construction drawings from all trades.

  • Handle 3rd Party vendors who have direct contracts with our client.

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5-8 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. LEED AP, PMP, and/or CCM designation(s) preferred.

  • General knowledge of leases, contracts and construction practices and the ability to read architectural drawings.

  • Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information with a willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.

  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.

  • Interpersonal skills with an advanced inquisitive mentality.

  • Construction experience in datacenter or mission critical is highly preferred.
