Job Description

Kelly Services is hiring Production Workers at a local client facility.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Perform duties on the production line as directed by supervisor and/or lead production worker and in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES/FUNCTIONS:

  • Visually inspect product and packaging for defects (inspect for product contamination, package integrity, package damage, and artwork defects, package properly sealed, package date code and correct count of product).

  • Immediately report defects to supervisor or Lead Production Worker.

  • Remove defective product from line.

  • Package products by hand into cases as directed by the SOP or Supervisor.

  • Operate packaging machinery (i.e., turn production lines on and off using the on/off switch, select appropriate program on filler and adjust target fill weight, and ensure that the appropriate fill weight is selected for the appropriate product) per SOP-s and Machine Manuals.

  • Stack cases by lifting from the production line (approximately waist height) and placing on a pallet at floor level in order to properly form pallet patterns.

  • Place packaging materials (i.e. bottles, jars, bottles, etc.) on line by hand.

  • Place caps in hopper for capper.

  • Clean packaging area and equipment as directed (i.e., Sweep, mop, wash the line down with hose, wipe down line).

  • Work in a safe manner at all times, complying with safety, health, environmental, food and drug regulations and company policies.

  • Use Company approved personal protective equipment (PPE) as required for various tasks.

  • Comply with Company SOPs and Policies.

  • Assist material handlers as needed or directed.

  • Assist Lead Production Workers as needed or directed.
