This job is within the American Airlines Credit Union. The role is responsible for the daily building operations, maintenance and security for the Credit Union headquarters building in Ft. Worth, Texas and the Credit Union's Disaster Recovery Center located in Irving, Texas.

What you'll do

  • Process employee requests

  • Assist with annual budget, monthly variance reviews, and monthly invoices

  • Monitor expenses to ensure adherence to budget

  • Manage vendor and service contractor relationships; enforce service level agreements and ensure they provide quality services for all contracted service providers including maintenance personnel, janitorial service, landscaping, pest control and security

  • Partner with American Airlines during service/vendor provider RFP contract negotiations

  • Manage building inspections to ensure compliance and regulatory requirements are met

  • Provide on-call support (24x7) to respond to critical issues outside of business hours

  • Work with the Business Continuity Manager on emergency response, crisis management, and disaster recovery

  • Source and purchase building and janitorial supplies and services

  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for service providers

  • Assist business units with facility aspects of large meetings and events

  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security and confidentiality of all account and related information which is part of their work and for ensuring that his/her work is in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act.

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Experience with building mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, and equipment including, but not limited to, generator, HVAC, and elevators

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or five or more years of proven experience in facilities management

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

  • Skilled in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint) gained through either work experience with the software or education and hands-on use of the software

  • Ability to demonstrate strong vendor management skills to work collaboratively to achieve results

  • Ability to multi-task, schedule, and organize in a highly visible and demanding role

  • Ability to be budget conscious with a creative approach to cost savings initiatives

  • Skilled with excellent troubleshooting ability to analyze problems objectively, think logically, and focus on follow up

  • Ability to demonstrate a proactive approach with a focus on continuous improvement, user satisfaction, and adherence to standards

  • Ability to demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills and exercise effective interpersonal skills

  • Ability to interact professionally with all levels of management

  • Ability to demonstrate results-driven, strong decision making skills

  • Ability to work well under stress, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines

  • Ability to stand, climb, crawl and/or lift when necessary

  • Ability to work and respond to scheduled and unscheduled events that may occur outside of business hours

  • Ability to maintain satisfactory performance and attendance

  • Ability to pass applicable American Airlines and Credit Union pre-hire compliance checks
