Raytheon Technologies Precision Manufacturing is a leader in high precision mechanical product manufacturing. The business consists of multiple sites in the Dallas area with around 560 employees. Raytheon Technologies Precision Manufacturing is experiencing growth with primary focus in the defense and aerospace markets.
The Job-Ready-Tech Associate (JRT) will be part of a team that is involved with producing high-precision machined components. The main job duties of this position is to accurately transfer raw materials and completed components, both physically and systematically, to optimize production efficiency. Additionally, the (JRT) is tasked with pulling hardware and keeping workstations fully stocked with materials. We are seeking a self-driven, results-oriented individual to support the continuous flow of production throughout the factory floor and warehouse.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Working safely every day and supporting efforts to maintain an injury free workplace.
High attention to detail in personal work as well as fellow team members’ work
Close interaction with personnel responsible for machining and finishing process establishment and execution
Day to day interaction with Missiles & Defense employees including all levels of RPM management
Changing and improving processes to increase productivity and competitiveness
Meeting cost & schedule commitments while maintaining the utmost standards for quality
Promoting a spirit of cooperation and following company policies
4 years’ experience in a lean manufacturing environment to include utilizing first in, first out practices and/or Just in Time (JIT) production
Experience working with blueprints and/or technical drawings/documents
Experience performing in-process inspection in accordance with company standards and customer specifications.
Experience completing material movement and warehouse transactions using SAP or an equivalent material tracking system
Ability to regularly lift up to 28 pounds
Ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance
Highly competent and trustworthy
A successful candidate would be able to accomplish daily work tasks with a minimum amount of supervision.
Knowledge of standard continuous improvement tools such as Kaizen/6 sigma, 5S, Successive verification, Pull Systems, etc.
Effective time management skills are necessary.
High School diploma or GED equivalent.
This position requires either a U.S. Person or a Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.
