ManpowerGroup Production Manager in Dakota, Illinois

Our client, a leader in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a Operations Manager to join their team. As a Operations Manager, you will be part of the Operations Department supporting a dynamic production team. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a commitment to continuous improvement, and excellent communication abilities which will align successfully in the organization.

About the Role:

We're looking for an experienced Operations Manager to lead production operations and drive continuous improvement in cost, efficiency, safety, and productivity. This role oversees all production activities, supervises personnel, ensures compliance, and collaborates cross-functionally to meet company goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead daily production operations across multiple shifts

  • Supervise and develop production teams in coordination with supervisors

  • Monitor KPIs and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and output

  • Champion safety, quality, cost control, and workforce morale

  • Partner with HR on staffing, employee relations, and performance management

  • Track production metrics and ensure OEE goals are met

  • Coordinate with Engineering on equipment improvements and installation

  • Ensure accurate use and verification of ingredients, materials, and batching processes

  • Maintain strong communication between departments to support company objectives

What We’re Looking For:

  • 3+ years of Production Management experience in a manufacturing setting

  • Strong leadership and team development skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Analytical mindset with a focus on KPIs and continuous improvement

  • Effective communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills

  • Flexible availability to support multi-shift operations

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
