Overview
SERVICENOW DEVELOPER (RDTE)
Bowhead is seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer to join our team in Dahlgren, VA. The ideal candidate will have experience with scripting in ServiceNow and hold the Certified Application Developer (CAD) certificate from ServiceNow. The candidate should also have a proven track record of creating, maintaining and enhancing Incident Management, Problem Management, Service Request Management, Service Catalog, Knowledge Management, Self-Service Portals, single sign on (SSO) capability, and Active Directory Profile synchronization.
Responsibilities
Requirements gathering, application design, and testing.
Create and maintain client scripts (JavaScript) including the use of GlideAjax calls to server scripts.
Create and maintain server scripts (JavaScript / script includes).
Create and maintain custom widgets along with HTML, CSS, client, and server scripting.
Create, maintain and enhance team Dashboards and reporting, including scheduled reports.
Overhaul, maintain and enhance Change Management, as well as current connections between ServiceNow and other systems.
Create, maintain and enhance future connections between ServiceNow and other systems.
Maintain Forms, Reports, Views, Workflows, Groups and Roles.
Assist with implementation of ServiceNow applications and provide technical insight in designing and supporting ServiceNow while aligning to service management best practices.
Strong understanding of CMDB, including importing customer data.
Configure and customize the ServiceNow system, including workflows.
Use scripting tools and ServiceNow functionality to create script to automate routine tasks being done in ServiceNow.
Communicate ServiceNow process, operations and capability information to all levels of management effectively.
Perform ServiceNow implementation tasks including but not limited to: configuration, integration, custom programming.
Qualifications
Experience with both client and server-side scripting in ServiceNow.
High school Diploma or BA/BS degree prefered
Certified Application Developer (CAD) certificate from ServiceNow.
Strong working knowledge of various ServiceNow components such as GlideAPI/GlideRecords, Service Desk, Change Management, Incident Management, Asset Management, Problem Management, CMDB, Knowledge Management, ServiceNow Scripting, and Service Request Management.
Proven, demonstrable abilities as a ServiceNow Developer.
Familiarity with various operating systems and platform.
Resourcefulness, problem-solving aptitude, and self-motivation.
Excellent communication skills and professionalism dealing with both internal and external entities.
ITIL and agile experience preferred.
Experience supporting the implementation, administration, configuration and/or development of the ServiceNow tool or equivalent hands-on experience in the IT industry involved in providing ITIL and IT Service Management Solutions in IT Infrastructure with expertise in the ITSM suite.
8 years of experience supporting the implementation, administration, configuration and/or development of the ServiceNow platform
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Microsoft O365 Cloud environments.
Familiarity with BigFix reports and remediation techniques.
Client-facing communication experience.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift up to 5-15 pounds
Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
