Located in Cwmbran, our Plant is the Center of Excellence for the Fire product line, a leading manufacturer and a global supplier of high-quality fire systems and devices.

We are seeking a HR Manage r to oversee the HR leadership responsibilities on site including supporting the leadership team in creating and driving the strategic direction and lead and manage HR programs and projects in Life Safety as appropriate.

This role will drive organisational change projects, develop and enhance employee engagement, working collaboratively with senior management, line management and key stakeholders to achieve business objectives.

What you’ll do:

  • Identify, develop and deploy business driven HR strategies designed to attract, manage, develop, motivate, and retain key people while creating a high-performance, sustainable organization that is capable of achieving the business objectives and action plans.

  • Build, lead and manage HR programs and projects on site and across the business unit, ensuring organisational assessment and design and change management tools are utilised throughout the projects to support overall effective delivery. Prepare regular program updates/reporting and flag any risks to the program success and track and monitor the budget and cost savings of the program(s)

  • Embed leadership accountability in leading change, identify and remediate any leadership capability or capacity gaps and provide guidance on handling change-related challenges

  • Partnering with the local HR team, ensure accountability and adherence to HR policies, legal requirements, and best practices and build effective communication plans for programs and projects, supporting the appropriate reward, recognition and celebration of milestones

  • Address any complex employee relations issues and provide guidance to resolution

  • Take the lead on analysing engagement issues and creating a proposal and action plans to identify improvement items

  • Lead the talent management and organizational effectiveness strategy by championing robust cross-training, succession planning, performance management practices and developing talent, including developing an I&D plan.

  • Lead the recruitment of key roles to support the strategic plan as part of a wider restructuring exercise, leveraging talent management strategies to engage and retain critical talent throughout projects and programs.

  • Lead the building organizational capability process by ensuring high levels of manager effectiveness, employee engagement and inclusion and diversity strategies to ensure facility has the talent and teams needed to meet our customer’s needs and key metric

  • Lead on the HR elements of upcoming site assessments

Qualifications:

  • CIPD level 7, Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred)

  • 5 years plus, Proven experience as an HR Manager/HR Business Partner or similar role

Skills:

  • Microsoft Office and Project Management tools

  • Strong understanding of HR practices, employment laws, and regulations

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Organisation and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Experience of organisational assessment and design, change management, restructuring and project management.

  • Proven HR engagement skills.

  • Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels in a maxtrix environment.

  • Ability to deal with conflict and diffuse difficult situations
