We’re looking for a passionate software engineer to join us on Phone, FaceTime, Voicemail, CallKit, and more!

In this position, you’ll play a crucial role in building a delightful and seamless calling experience across Apple’s devices, including iPhone, iPad, and Mac. The Calls Core team builds and maintains systems and API that enable telephony, FaceTime, and CallKit calling. You’ll work mostly in Swift and Objective-C on protocols, frameworks, and daemons, and you’ll help us shape the future of voice & video communication across our devices.
This team shapes and drives calling experiences on iOS, macOS, and more. We fulfill our duty by caring deeply, living on our software, developing defensible opinions on what to keep / what to change, and having empathy for the countless users in the world who rely on us every day.

Minimum Qualifications
You possess strong software development and design skills.
You have strong object-oriented programming skills in Swift or Objective-C.
You have strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
You are self-directed and can solve problems independently.
Preferred Qualifications
You have strong understanding of building frameworks and daemons for an operating system.
You have created and refined APIs intended for other teams and developers to adopt.
You have familiarity with peer-to-peer or client-server architecture and network protocols.
You have experience with secure communication protocols, especially in handling untrusted data.
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,800 and $312,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
