Sony Pictures Entertainment Sr. Analyst, Payroll in Culver City, California
This role will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day tax administration tasks. In this role, the candidate must demonstrate a strong knowledge of payroll processes and financial processes as it relates to payroll, attention to detail, collaboration skills, and a work history that clearly demonstrates job stability with increasing levels of responsibility.
Role/Responsibilities :
Adds new earning and deduction codes and tax jurisdictions
Perform Pre-Open and Pre-Check Tax Audits
Perform employee level balancing of deductions
Validate testing for tax updates
Research laws and regulations regarding taxes and payroll withholding procedures
Work with Operation team to respond to payroll related inquiries/cases
Work with the Finance team for any month-end close payroll related activities
Provide Financial reports for the Line of Business
Assist in researching GL issues
Experience/Skills:
AS degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience
5+ years of relevant experience in payroll
Fundamental Payroll Professional (FPC)
Multi-state taxation knowledge
Excellent organization skills, detail-oriented, oral and written communication skills
Must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Advance computer skills: Microsoft Excel
Prior UKG Pro experience, highly desirable
