This company is best known for discovering new talent from the beginning and providing services to create the foundation to their music careers. Past Platoon artists include Billie Eilish, Ayra Starr, Yebba, Mr Eazi, and Victoria Monét. Platoon is seeking an experienced marketing lead to create and implement marketing strategies for our global artist roster and lead a team of campaign managers. This role will partner with multiple teams to create cohesive artist campaigns that resonate with fans and drive engagement, revenue and accolades.

Description

Passionate and knowledgable about artists and music of all genres. Enjoys leading, inspiring, nurturing and managing an international team of professionals. Develop and present effective marketing strategies and initiatives that drive awareness and engagement for artists, with a strong emphasis on out-of-the-box thinking and budget. Design and drive go-to-market plans with geo-specific nuance that integrates artist’s vision, company goals, content strategy and creative approach. Manage a team of campaign managers, DSP streaming managers, and external digital, social, and out of home marketing and PR vendors and ad agencies. Ability to innovate, utilize and adapt quickly to emerging platforms, technologies and market conditions. Initiate, develop, and implement workflows and processes within the marketing team to streamline communication cross-functionally. Ensure that team and projects are built through clear and concise direction and specifications for media planning, asset creation, and campaign management across traditional and digital media. Analyze data to support, guide and adapt cultural and intuitive approaches to artist campaigns. Able to find the perfect blend between earned social, paid advertising, press, radio, fans and events to create the best campaign each artist, genre and project. Adapt to the changing music landscape and identify potential opportunities for artists. Conduct equally successful one-to-on artist and manager meetings as well as corporate presentations. Strategic and vocal business leader across Platoon’s businesses, teams and values. Demonstrate inclusive and open-minded approach to working cross-collaboratively within immediate and extended teams. Responsibility of a global marketing budget and allocations against return on business priorities both on an artist campaign as well as for the overall marketing department.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 12 + years demonstrated experience in supporting a wide spectrum of artists and genres through-out career.

  • 5 + years senior leadership and people management experience within the music or entertainment field.

  • Excellent industry relationships for negotiating win-win partnerships with third party companies, agencies and platforms including DSP’s and other music platforms.

  • Exceptional track record of success executing global artist and project marketing campaigns across territories.

  • 25 % travel required, both domestic and international.

  • Hands on experience in digital and traditional media planning.

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $197,400 and $364,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
