Copeland Production Planner in Cudahy, Wisconsin

If you are a Supply Chain & Logistics professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Copeland has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Cudahy, WI location, you will be a department level planner/scheduler with an emphasis in our Engineered to Order (ETO) planning. You will report to the Planning Supervisor and be a key team member in scheduling work-centers and managing the materials entering and leaving the responsible departments.

AS A PRODUCTION PLANNER YOU WILL :

  • Create production schedules and manage production promise delivery dates for planned customer orders.

  • Create Discrete Jobs/Work Orders for production staging requirements.

  • Ensure material availability for production schedule and manage workflow for assigned areas(s)

  • Work closely with related Business Units, Buyers, Production Manager, Supervisors, Shipping and Purchasing to ensure product is completed on time.

  • Provide timely communication and progress reports to support internal customers.

  • Generate and distribute work orders and job packets as required.

  • Ensure data in ERP and department spreadsheets is up to date.

  • Capacity plan for the responsible product line and recommend overtime to department supervisors when promise dates are in jeopardy of being missed.

  • Cross train to help provide coverage during vacations and other absenteeism in the Planning Department.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Associates Degree in Operations or related field.

  • Minimum of three (3+) years’ experience as a Production Planner or related equivalent combination of experience and education.

  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software such as Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States - sponsorship will not be provided for this position.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS: :

• Bachelor’s degree in Operations or related field.

• CPIM Certification.

• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles (i.e., Kanban, pull systems, Takt time, standard work).
