Description: We are looking for an independent and adaptable Chaplain who excels at promoting teamwork and demonstrates a high degree of professionalism while providing excellent patient care. This leader will have a positive impact on our patients and their team in a fast-paced, rewarding health care facility. The ideal applicant will be a skilled advocate with effective communication and interpersonal skills and a willingness to collaborate with internal and external partners. Our goal is to support patients and families throughout their health care journey. Qualifications: Masters or doctoral level degree in theology seminary by an accredited school required. National accreditation (ACPE or NACC) preferred. Experience working with death and dying, individuals/family/caregiver in a healthcare setting. 2-5 years' experience as clergy or chaplain work in hospice or palliative care. Must hold a valid Minnesota driver's license. Responsibilities and Skills: Primary focus areas include Hospice, Oncology, patients in the hospital, and CRMC employees. Ability to facilitate a spiritual assessment and provide religious/spiritual resources appropriate to the care of patients, families, and staff across the continuum of care. Provide/arrange for provision of sacraments/ rituals/prayers and integrative modalities at the request of patients and/or family members in a manner aligning with the traditions of the patient, family member, or significant other. Knowledge of and ability to respond appropriately to the spiritual, ethical, and theological issues commonly encountered in the hospital setting. Skilled in providing effective spiritual care to those experiencing illness, injury, crisis, end of life, death, ethical dilemma, spiritual distress. Respect for and appreciation of diversity and differences including age, culture, language, sexual orientation, and religious/spiritual beliefs/practices. Self-motivated, able to function independently.
