Robert Half Help Desk Analyst I in Cromwell, Connecticut

Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Help Desk Analyst I based in CROMWELL, Connecticut. This role involves system administration tasks and end user support for a leading telecom provider. The successful candidate will be responsible for system maintenance, administration, and the provision of technical assistance to end-users.

Responsibilities:

• Administer, configure, and maintain servers, networks, and IT infrastructure.

• Implement cybersecurity measures to ensure systems operate reliably.

• Provide technical support to end-users, resolving hardware and software issues promptly.

• Assist in troubleshooting and problem resolution for IT-related concerns.

• Collaborate with Managed Service Provider to monitor network performance and optimize configurations for seamless operation.

• Implement and manage security measures to safeguard against unauthorized access.

• Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies for critical systems and data.

• Install, configure, and update software applications to meet organizational needs.

• Support audio-video conferencing and ensure seamless operation for virtual meetings.

• Work closely with other departments to plan and implement system upgrades and enhancements.

• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.

• Offer on-call support to resolve system downtime and other critical incidents. Requirements • The candidate should have a minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role

• Proficiency in System Administration is required

• The candidate must possess excellent problem-solving skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential

• The candidate should be well-versed with various help desk software

• Knowledge of network protocols and processes is needed

• The candidate should have the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize them

• Experience in customer service would be advantageous

• The candidate must have the ability to work in a team as well as independently

• Flexibility to work in shifts would be a plus

• The candidate should have a strong technical aptitude and be able to learn new technologies quickly

• An associate's or bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field is preferred. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
