Robert Half Accountant - Entry Level in Cripple Creek, Colorado

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Entry Level Accountant in Cripple Creek, Colorado, 80813, United States. As an Entry Level Accountant, you will be pivotal in maintaining financial accuracy within our organization, ensuring all accounting tasks are performed accurately and in a timely manner. You will be immersed in a variety of tasks from processing customer applications to maintaining accurate customer records and resolving customer inquiries.

Responsibilities:

• Process and manage journal entries and account reconciliations

• Conduct thorough analysis of financial statements reviewing for accuracy and completeness

• Perform detailed general ledger account analysis for all balance sheet accounts monthly

• Ensure timely closure of the general ledger within established guidelines

• Produce comprehensive monthly financial statements including budget variance reports

• Reconcile financial discrepancies through diligent collection and analysis of account information

• Analyze and test the validity of monthly financials to ensure compliance with contracts, regulations, and internal accounting policies

• Enforce adherence to all regulatory, departmental, and company policies and procedures

• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and comply with safety procedures, including using safety equipment

• Consistently report to work scheduled, punctually and ready to work

• Maintain alertness for the performance of all responsibilities, and a general awareness of operations at all times. Requirements

  • Prepares and processes journal entries, monthly reconciliation on accounts and documentation.

  • Performs general ledger account analysis for all balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis.

  • Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.

  • Analyzes Departmental financial statements at month end reviewing for accuracy and completeness.

  • Produces monthly financial statements including budget variance reports.

  • Analyzes and tests monthly financials to ensure compliance with contracts, regulations, Generally Accepted Accounting Procedures (GAAP) and internal accounting policies.

  • Ensures the general ledger is closed within guidelines.

  • Ensures department adheres to all regulatory, departmental and company policies and procedures.
