Doane College, a nationally recognized liberal arts and sciences college in Crete, NE seeks qualified candidates for the Mental Health Counselor position. This position provides individual mental health counseling for college students. In addition the counselor will provide brief motivational interviewing, education and other interventions for students engaged in high-risk behaviors, particularly substance abuse. Qualifications: Master's degree in a mental health related field required; Licensed Mental Health Practitioner (LMHP) with state of NE or qualifications to obtain; Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) with state of NE preferred. Experience in providing mental health counseling and alcohol and drug abuse counseling required. Experience mediating motivational interviews and crisis intervention preferred. Must have excellent communication, collaboration and counseling skills. Experience in higher education preferred.
