RMC is hiring a Project Manager to support IT work at NSWC Crane. The selected applicant will work collaboratively with the RMC Program Manager, technical teams, and government clients to provide quality solutions in support of RDT&E services.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the operations of complex technical projects

  • Coordinate all projects and their interdependences, develop and align all task order deliverables as required by the SOW

  • Troubleshoot technical issues and work collaboratively with technical teams to identify and implement solutions.

  • Develop, maintain, improve and execute requirements management process for the organization.

  • Assist with facilitating the alignment of business expectations and IT capabilities to deliver business solutions/options

  • Identify, capture, formulate, prioritize and manage project requirements for applications and systems

  • Work with stakeholder team to ensure business requirements are complete then translate into functional specification/requirements for system administrators

  • Effectively communicate business requirements to technical/development teams

  • Create functional requirements documents

  • Develop custom reports, dashboards and documentation for program stakeholders detailing requirement management activities and statuses

  • Provide direct support for DoD Cloud Computing Initiatives

  • Provide system administration support for hosted middleware applications

  • Maintain the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)

  • Maintaining and execute requirements management

  • Daily use of Microsoft Project, SharePoint or other project management software to manage project work streams, tasks, dependencies, predecessors, Gantt, etc.

  • Strong skills in problem-solving and decision making

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong presentation skills

  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and maintain flexibility in a fast-paced environment

  • Support the staffing process (i.e. review resumes, participate in interviews, support decision making process)

  • Manage relationships with commercial vendors, customers, system users, and internal staff.

  • Exhibit excellent communication & interpersonal skills, and the ability to work and lead effectively in a team environment. The ability to learn and master new technologies and deliver quality products within short time frames is critical.

  • Perform the duties of a supervisor for several contractor staff.

    Experience Requirements:

  • Ten (10) years of direct work experience in support of DoD Enterprise business information systems and computing infrastructure operations.

  • Project Management Experience to include: Technology Assessments, Systems Design, Systems Analysis, Programmatic Support, Acquisition Planning, and Budget Planning.

  • Experience providing oversight for agile software development activities.

  • Supervisory level for DoD Enterprise business information systems and/or network operations. Supervisory experience shall include developing program metrics, budgets and schedules and coordinating efforts of multiple task activities.

  • Experience must include working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and DoD procurement policies.

  • Shall have written and oral communications abilities commensurate with this management role.

    A Master’s Degree in a Management, Business, IT, or related field and Ten (10) years of experience in support of information technology and project management activities is required. A PMP certification will be required.

    Security Clearance: An active DoD Secret security clearance or higher is required to start. Applicant selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
