Your Day-to-Day:

The engineer will regularly interface with internal and external customers and ensure regulatory submittals meet high quality standards. Leads and coordinates preparation of proposals, including work definition, coordination of technical descriptions, scheduling Researches & develops licensing approaches for products and services Drives continuous improvement of products, processes, and/or procedures Mentors and trains new licensing employees Leads technical teams in licensing products and processes as part of a broader engineering solution Works independent and demonstrates capability of mentoring engineers leading teams in the execution of complex tasks Leverages knowledge of Westinghouse products as a differentiator to positively impact customer relationships Partner with Westinghouse innovation and engineering groups to develop a successful product licensing strategiesrooted in regulation and industry guidance Develop Reports for submittal to the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission (US NRC). Develop licensing evaluations for US nuclear utilities such as License Amendment Requests, 10 CFR 50.59 evaluations, and safety evaluations. Act as a focal point for communication between Westinghouse engineering, customers/licensees, and the US NRC. Present information to the US NRC and respond to requests for information. Provide licensing and technical expertise for strategic initiatives, including communication with Westinghouse leadership. Mentor other engineers in the execution of complex tasks. Provide day-to-day oversight of individuals or teams, ensuring that policies, practices and procedures are understood and followed. Drive continuous improvement to Westinghouse products, processes, and procedures. Lead group-level technical training.

Who You Are: As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team: A minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Engineering. Nuclear or Mechanical Engineering preferred. Minimum of 6years of applicable experience in the nuclear field; 8 plus preferred Knowledge and familiarity with US NRC regulations and nuclear industry guidance Excellent oral and written communication skills Experience with developing License Amendment Request, Topical Reports and 10 CFR 50.59 evaluations Knowledge of the design and operation of pressurized water reactor power plants Willingness for 5% travel to customer locations and regulator locations
