Robert Half Corporate Tax Manager in Covington, Louisiana

Description

We are looking for an experienced Tax Senior or Manager to join a dynamic manufacturing company in Covington, Louisiana. This role is ideal for someone with a solid background in corporate tax and accounting who is eager to contribute to a growing organization. Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review corporate tax filings to ensure compliance with regulations and accuracy in reporting.

• Collaborate with internal teams to analyze tax implications and develop effective strategies.

• Handle tax planning initiatives to optimize financial outcomes and reduce liabilities.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and provide guidance on their application within the company.

• Assist in audits and coordinate responses to tax-related inquiries from regulatory agencies.

• Identify and implement process improvements to streamline tax operations and reporting.

• Utilize advanced Excel skills to manage and analyze data efficiently.

• Support the preparation of financial statements with accurate tax provisions.

• Ensure proper documentation and organization of all tax-related records for future reference.

• Partner with external advisors when necessary to address complex tax issues.

Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in corporate tax accounting or public accounting with a focus on tax preparation and review.

• Strong proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions for data analysis.

• Familiarity with corporate accounting systems and willingness to learn new platforms.

• Solid understanding of tax regulations and compliance requirements.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• CPA certification or active pursuit of CPA designation is highly preferred.
