Job Title: Hardscape Foreman
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Hardscape Foreman to supervise and lead a team of hardscape workers in the construction of patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other hardscape features. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of hardscape construction techniques, materials, and equipment, along with excellent leadership and team management skills.
Responsibilities
Supervise and lead a team of hardscape workers in the construction of patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other hardscape features.
Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications to ensure accurate project execution.
Coordinate with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective completion.
Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company policies.
Train and mentor team members, providing guidance and support as needed.
Operate and maintain tools and equipment used in hardscape construction.
Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality of work.
Resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the project.
Essential Skills
1+ years experience as a Hardscape Foreman or similar role in the landscaping or construction industry.
Strong knowledge of hardscape construction techniques, materials, and equipment.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Strong organizational and time management abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with equipment operation, landscaping, skid steer, and landscaping/hardscape management.
Construction management experience.
Work Environment
You will be working on commercial job sites in all types of weather conditions, including hot, cold, and rainy environments. The company is a small, family-owned business with a total of 12-14 employees. Crews typically consist of 2-4 members, depending on the project. The dress code requires steel toe boots and pants. Work hours are from 7:00 am to 4:30 pm, with summer hours from 6:00 am to 5:00 pm. Work begins at the shop before heading out to the job site. You must have your own personal hand tools, including bags, tape, and a hammer. PPE such as a hard hat, safety glasses, ear protection, and high visibility shirt/vest will be provided.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $68640.00/yr.
Company pays 50%
Paid time off - eligible after 1 year and in good standing with company
Paid Holidays - if they fall Monday - Friday (new years day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas day)
401K Match - 100% match at 3%, 50% match of next 2%
