MRC Global Lead e-Commerce Business Analyst in CORP CHS, West Virginia

MRC Global serves the oil and gas industry across the upstream, midstream and downstream sectors as well as the chemical and gas distribution market sectors worldwide.

Job Purpose

The Lead e-Commerce Business Analyst will assist the Manger in all areas, be the primary point of contact for the team, train new team members as well as perform daily e-Commerce Business Analyst functions.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

The Role’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Lead the e-Commerce Business Analyst team in daily activities and serve as the first point of contact for questions and escalations for the team members.

  • Train new team members on existing and new standard processes and tasks.

  • Assist in the rollout and training of new functionality and processes for the eCommerce team that modifies current state and document those new procedures as needed.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact to perform QA testing for other teams, as needed.

  • Conduct in depth technical analysis of partner integrations to identify project challenges and build a knowledge base of unique issues that can be used for support teams after go-live.

  • Analyze business partner’s operations to understand their strengths and weaknesses to determine opportunities to automate processes and functions.

  • Assist in business process redesign and documentation as needed for new technology.

  • Translate high level business requirements into functional specifications for the IT organization and manage changes to such specifications.

  • Negotiate agreements and commitments by facilitating communications between business unit(s) and IT from initial requirements to final implementation.

  • Meet scheduled milestones to ensure project/program objectives are met in a timely manner.

  • Manage ticketing system by creating tickets when necessary and ensuring all tickets arereviewed in a timely manner.

  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

  • Take reasonable care for the safety and health of yourself and others, report workplacehazards, injuries, or illness immediately.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

  • Combination of education and 5+ years of business or IS work experience, including someexperience managing team(s) or leading projects.

Skills & Abilities

  • Understanding of technological trends to provide solutions to enhance the enterprise’s competitive edge.
