Amazon Finance Manager, AWS EMEA in Cork, ColoradoIreland

To meet the growing demand for Accounting Services in EMEA, we need exceptionally talented, bright, and driven people to join our team in Cork.

Key job responsibilities

• Ownership of close processes with responsibility for reporting in multiple legal entities across EMEA. This will include the preparation and review of journals, analytical review of monthly results and account reconciliations;

• Identifying and driving process improvements and automation to reduce manual effort, through the adoption of evolving tools such as RPA and Power BI;

• Demonstrating strong technical accounting acumen to be able to conclude on accounting treatment of new product launches, projects and complex transactions;

• Business partnering with Tax, Legal and AWS Expansion teams;

• Collaborating with global Accounting teams to identify opportunities for standardization;

• Managing the on-boarding of new entities and activities, ensuring that all required processes and controls are in place prior to launch;

• Developing in depth knowledge of the AWS business to facilitate preparation of analytical review for internal and external reporting;

• Participating in preparation and review of statutory financial statements.

Cork, CO, IRL

Basic Qualifications

  • Significant experience with financial reporting and audit, preferably gained within a Big Four firm.

  • Knowledge of IFRS or other accounting frameworks

  • University degree in Accounting or Finance

  • Accounting professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical competency in excel

  • Knowledge of other accounting solutions

  • SQL/Alteryx & Oracle
