Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Principal / Sr. Principal Test Engineer . This position is located in Promontory, UT and supports the Sentinel program . This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

What You'll Get To Do:

• Support Lab operations in Promontory, UT in support of C2 Operations

• Integration of H/W and S/W units in lab

• Electrical design troubleshooting and report generation

• Implementation of network diagrams, electrical, and mechanical drawings

• Coordination of tasks between multiple IPT's

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

Job Qualifications:

You'll Bring These Qualifications:

• Principal Test Engineer: 5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelors; 3 years with a Masters; 0 years with a PhD; 4 additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

• Sr. Principal Test Engineer: 9 years of relevant experience with a Bachelors; 7 years with a Masters; 4 years with a PhD; 4 additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Required for both levels:

• US Citizenship with an Active Secret Clearance or higher (awarded within the past 6 years) with the ability to receive a Special Access Program (SAP) certification.• Experience in a lab / test environment

• Experience with test at any level of build (unit, element, segment, etc.)

• Ability to work well in a team environment.

• Ability to effectively communicate issues and help provide solutions across teams / sites.

• Familiarity with lab equipment (DMMs, O-scopes, Spectrum Analyzers, etc.) and lab processes (ESD, FOD, Configuration Management, etc.)

• Experience operating in an Agile environment using any of the Atlassian software tool sets (JIRA, Confluence)

• The ability to acquire a CompTIA Security+ certification within 6 months of employment

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

• US Citizenship with an Active Top-Secret Clearance or higher (awarded within the past 6 years) with the ability to receive a Special Access Program (SAP) certification.

• Experience with MBSE using IBM DOORS or CAMEO

• Experience with development, integration or troubleshooting of information systems, network architecture, hardware / software test environments

• Experience coordinating with multiple IPT's to coordinate design, fabrication, and configuration of a test environment.

• Have an active CompTIA Security+ certification

Salary Range: $84,200 - $126,400

Salary Range 2: $104,400 - $156,600

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
