Quality Control Analyst

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Analyst to join our team for a 3-month contract. The successful candidate will analyze data and information for quality, consistency, and accuracy, while maintaining accurate and detailed sample, product, and instrument records. This role supports an efficient manufacturing environment and requires compliance with safety regulations and laboratory procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze data and information for quality, consistency, and accuracy.

  • Use a variety of analytical and sample handling equipment.

  • Maintain accurate and detailed sample, product, and instrument records.

  • Contribute to and support an efficient manufacturing environment.

  • Comply with certification requirements and perform necessary emergency, safety, and cleaning procedures.

  • Handle sample and reagent preparations carefully and accurately for analytical and functional assays.

  • Demonstrate behavior consistent with Core Values.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Adhere to safety regulations, lab SOPs, and contamination controls.

  • Determine pass/fail status of oligos by reviewing analytical data such as CE and HPLC.

  • Determine pass/fail status of materials by reviewing analytical data such as pH, Conductivity, Titration, and UV-Vis.

  • Use automated and manual lab equipment accurately, including limited maintenance, decontamination, and troubleshooting activities.

Essential Skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with 2 years relevant experience.

  • Associate's degree with 1 year relevant experience or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.

  • Proficiency with analytical instrumentation or quality control experience.

  • Proficiency with computers and a variety of software in a Windows-based environment.

  • Knowledge in quality control, biology, GMP, QC, lab SOPs, safety regulations, chemistry, and ISO 9001.

Work Environment

This position covers a maternity leave for a 3-month contract, working Sunday to Thursday from 7am to 3:30pm. The role offers a base pay of $21.92 per hour with a $0.48 shift differential, totaling $22.40 per hour. Shift differential may vary if shifts change. Candidates should be current students earning their science degree, having completed a majority of their science-based classes.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.92 - $22.40/hr.
