The Herbert Wellness Center is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Tennis Instructor to join our team. As a Tennis Instructor, you will be responsible for providing high-quality tennis instruction and coaching to individuals of all levels.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive tennis lesson plans tailored to the needs and goals of each student, considering their skill level, age, and physical abilities.

  • Provide one-on-one and group tennis instruction sessions, focusing on proper technique, footwork, strategy, and game management.

  • Foster a positive and supportive learning environment, encouraging students to develop their skills, confidence, and love for the sport.

  • Demonstrate and explain tennis rules, etiquette, and sportsmanship to ensure a safe and respectful playing environment.

  • Organize and supervise tennis drills, practice sessions, and competitive matches for students to enhance their skills and game performance.

  • Offer guidance and constructive feedback to students, addressing their strengths and weaknesses to help them achieve their tennis goals.

  • Collaborate with other instructors and staff members to plan and coordinate tennis programs.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience as a Tennis Instructor or Tennis Coach

  • Excellent knowledge of tennis fundamentals, techniques, strategies, and rules.

  • Ability to effectively teach and communicate complex concepts and instructions to students of various ages and skill levels.

  • Strong interpersonal skills to establish rapport with students and create a supportive learning environment.

  • Patient, encouraging, and adaptable teaching style to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.

  • CPR and First Aid certification (preferred).

  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate students' schedules.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills to effectively plan lessons and manage multiple students.

  • Passion for tennis and a genuine desire to inspire and motivate others to reach their full potential in the sport.
