The Department of Physics in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Miami seeks a full-time Lecturer to fill the position of Coordinator of the Undergraduate laboratories. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and supervising all undergraduate teaching labs. This includes maintaining and updating course materials, equipment, web pages, and the schedule. It also includes supervising and training the TAs responsible for teaching the labs and setting up the labs.

The Coordinator will also hold regular office hours, advise and mentor students, and serve on departmental, college, and university committees as needed.

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications: (1) a Ph.D. in Physics or a related field by the time of appointment, (2) familiarity with operations and maintenance of lab equipment, and (3) willingness to supervise and train our large pool of Teaching Assistants.

Applications will be reviewed starting March 1st and continue until the position is filled. Ideally, the candidate will begin work during the 2024 summer semesters, to overlap with the current coordinator.
