Feed My Starving Children Safety Coordinator in Coon Rapids, Minnesota

Your Role: Assist with safety and compliance functions at Feed My Starving Children (FMSC). Maintain accurate safety records, support the workers' compensation program, ensure compliance with regulations, and coordinate the Safety Department schedule and communications. Pay, Schedule & Benefits: This is a part-time non-exempt (hourly) position. Typical work schedule is 10-15 hours per week, at least 2 hours per day Monday-Friday primarily during daytime business hours, with some flexibility for evening or weekend hours upon approval. include paid time off (PTO), 401(k) with employer match and vision. What You'll Do: Organize and maintain accurate and up-to-date records, reports, and documentation in support of FMSC's occupational safety, food safety, and food quality functions. Administer the workers' compensation program: initiate the claims process, work with insurance providers, communicate with injured employees, and ensure timely and accurate reporting. Collaborate with Human Resources. Assist the Food Safety and Quality Assurance Manager with follow up on quality issues. Compile safety data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Generate reports on safety metrics for management review. Act as a point of contact for safety-related inquiries and concerns. Monitor the Safety Department's email inbox. Maintain safety equipment and supply inventory. Assist in ordering safety-related materials. Participate in safety committee meetings. Coordinate meeting times, take notes, and contribute to discussions. Assist in maintaining employee safety trainings. Monitor regulating body bulletins/updates and ensure compliance with relevant safety regulations, standards, and policies. Perform other duties as assigned. Your Qualifications: Commitment to support and promote FMSC's Christian mission and goals. Minimum of an associate's degree and 1 year of experience in administrative work strongly preferred. In lieu of degree, equivalent work experience considered. Advanced competencies with Microsoft Office programs required. Familiarity with Sharepoint and SmartSheet preferred. Excellent organizational skills with a high degree of detail, accuracy, and follow-through. Able to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in fast-paced environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Able to use discretion and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Able to identify and analyze process, data, and communication issues. Your Team: Work location: MN (Chanhassen, Coon Rapids, Eagan), IL (Aurora, Libertyville, Schaumburg), AZ (Mesa) or TX (Richardson). Position will have flexible/hybrid work schedule that allows for both office and remote work, though some locations may be fully remote dependent on space availability. Reports to Safety and Compliance Manager.
