We’re looking for a Lead Electrical Engineer in Conshohocken, PA who is committed to working on Advanced Facilities/Life Sciences projects that enable the heart of our clients’ business. Join us and you’ll have the chance to join a global team of engineers and designers delivering the world’s most state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities. You’ll be accountable for schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks, as you gain familiarity with the client’s expectations, scope, budget, and schedule. You’ll also provide on-site assistance during startup, coordinate work activities with other staff members and the discipline lead. Your multi-discipline, highly interactive team will produce installation details, single lines, electric room layouts, motor control elementaries, connection diagrams, cable schedules, and grounding, lighting, and power plans.

You’ll also assist directly with the more complex portions of the design process, interacting directly with the client, owner, and contractors to assist construction on site. You and your team will work closely with client owners in a fast paced, dynamic environment to establish design requirements and produce construction documents.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Lead a group of engineers by planning, organizing and coordinating Electrical Engineering activities to complete design deliverables.

• Assuring compliance with Client, Jacobs, and industry standards on your assigned project.

• Developing key Electrical deliverables and aid lead Electrical engineer in the preparation of scopes of work and estimates to support the project.

• Performing calculations and evaluations in the design of equipment and systems for industrial applications.

• Performing tier reviews of project deliverables to ensure accuracy, conformance to codes, specifications, design criteria and conformance to good engineering practices.

• Function as a key interface between the local and Delhi office engineering teams in terms of communicating design requirements, answering design queries and checking design quality to ensure conformance to regulatory and client requirements.

• Develop layout plans for lighting, power and grounding including conduit and cable tray systems.

• Must by proficient with Microsoft Office Packages (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio), Revit, AutoCAD and Bluebeam Revu Navisworks/Revizto.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering

• At least 15 years of experience in engineering design of medium and low voltage building electrical systems including switchgear, transformers, MCCs, arcflash / fault level studies, lighting and grounding.

• Experience leading engineers and coordinating their activities in the design development process.

• Extensive design experience using Revit modelling, Navis simulation, SKM system modeling and Revizto software.

• Hazardous area electrical design and equipment specification

• Electrical equipment purchase specification and bid analysis

• Solid working knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC)

• Experience with power system regulatory requirements in European and Asian regions.

• Experience with emergency and standby systems including generators and uninterruptible power supplies

• Life Sciences facility electrical design experience

• Medium voltage design experience

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Hindi

Ideally, you’ll also have:

• Technology related master’s degree preferred

• Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas

• Displayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base

• Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary and international teams
