We are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer who has the right mix of software development experience, distributed operations, and systems research knowhow to support our development of complex distributed processing pipelines in the context of cloud environments at hyper scale. Your mission will be to support the team in designing, developing and maintaining our infrastructure and pipelines incl. operationalization of processing pipelines, testing, release management process, dashboards creation. Responsibilities
Your responsibilities
Your responsibilities include:
Contribute to the development, testing and monitoring of data processing pipelines in Python and Java.
Contribute to the automation of development processes.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of dashboards and various frontends to present data summaries.
Build and maintain the team’s infrastructure to run complex functionality at large scale and in a distributed manner.
Co-supervise the team’s release and testing processes.
Collaborate with our partner OCI operations team on data availability, resource provisioning, etc.
Occasionally evaluate deployment practices and data storage architectures to improve operations.
Your qualifications
Master’s of PhD Degree in Computer Science or related field.
5+ years of experience in the design, development and operations of distributed systems incl. Spark and container platforms incl. Kubernetes.
Familiarity with serverless architecture, ML model hosting strategies, and model testing techniques is a plus.
Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms.
Proficiency in Python and Java development, with a focus on writing clean, efficient and maintainable code, following best engineering practices. (Scala and Go are a plus).
Experience with implementing and deploying software on cloud (OCI is a plus).
Familiarity with version control practices (Git), containers; MLOps is a plus.
Experience in setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for automating testing, integration, deployment.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $79,800 to $178,100 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
