Senior Director of Advanced Marketing Analytics, Data Science & AI:

A critical role that will transform how we leverage technology and data science to unlock the power of big data and enable the Growth & Disruption organization to detect and respond to emerging trends faster than the competition, and as they happen – in Real Time. In so doing, this leader will play a key role in shaping our strategies with regard to portfolio, innovation, client experience, sales coverage, churn and productivity by partnering with stakeholders across the business to ensure our decisions are data driven.

Responsible for generating and delivering data-driven insights to support brand, product and market coverage, targeted client retention, or cross sell/upsell initiatives enterprise wide and contribute to the development and enhancement of innovative capabilities. This role involves influencing business partners, leading the execution and interpretation of AI/ML models, framing problems, and crafting solutions. This role will be responsible for clearly and compellingly communicating data-driven insights. Internal optimization needs ranging from optimal pricing to spend allocation based on historical performance data, developing predictive analytics and ML models for both internal and external use, and identifying AI/ML/LLM based solutions that help drive business strategy, enable growth, and enhance operational efficiency. This role is dynamic, fast-paced, highly collaborative, and covers a broad range of strategic topics that are critical to our business. To excel in this role, you must have a passion for data-driven problem solving, a strong background in data science and AI, and proven experience in leading and developing high-performing teams.

Specific Details:

§ Be an indispensable business partner who can deliver the thought leadership required to build and deploy high impact new-to-world capabilities

§ Build New Data & Intelligence Sources: To ensure we have all relevant, detailed data necessary to drive excellence

§ Build a Big Data Eco-system in partnership with IT and other G&D leaders

  • Provide an enterprise view of insights across Product / Brand / Sales Coverage on key topics like resource allocation, measurement & attribution of market mix, channel optimization, digital analytics, predictive models, forecasting sales revenue, decision engine/next best action.

  • Lead the development and implementation of data-driven solutions using advanced analytics and machine learning techniques, predictive algorithms, and AI-powered tools to extract actionable insights to strategies and tactics.

  • Manage and mentor a team of data scientists (internal and external) and AI experts to drive innovation and deliver high-quality results

  • Influence end-to-end delivery of data science insights, from framing the business question, designing the solution, and delivering recommendations.

  • Collaborate within the Xerox IT insights & analytics team, coordinating efforts to develop and execute a comprehensive analytics plan.

  • Deliver consolidated insights and actionable recommendations to sales teams, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and insights findings.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of analytics insights into decision-making processes and strategic initiatives.

  • Define and track key performance indicators to measure the success and impact of data-driven solutions.

  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements in data science and AI and apply them to improve processes and outcomes.

  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the enterprise, effectively communicating the value proposition of data science and fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making.

  • Ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations and maintain a high level of data integrity.

  • Develop and manage budgets, resource allocation, and timelines for data science and AI projects.

  • Identify insights from analyzing client data sets to find opportunities for product and process optimization needs ranging from optimal pricing to spend allocation based on historical performance data, potential revenue growth, and savings

  • Use predictive modeling to increase and optimize client experiences, revenue generation, coverage, churn and other business outcomes

  • Build models to test the effectiveness of different courses of action

  • Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for leadership

  • Analyze sales coverage data to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.

  • Investigate sales churn patterns and create predictive models to reduce churn.

  • Develop dashboards and visualizations to communicate insights effectively to stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with teams across sales, marketing, and operations to provide data-driven recommendations.

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular reporting on sales and business analytics.

  • Design and deploy machine learning models to enhance forecasting capabilities.

  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in data science and business analytics.

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of AI/ML models and algorithms

  • Regularly report on key initiatives, model success, and business outcomes to senior leadership

  • Ensure the successful integration of AI/ML/LLM technologies into existing workflows

Required Skills and Experience

  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in advanced analytics, or in leading global management consulting firm

  • Minimum of master’s degree, preferably in engineering, economics, statistics, computer science, or related quantitative field

  • A business leader that can contextualize the data science findings, recommendations and implications for the Business and be influential in decision making for topics like resource allocation, predictive churn, coverage models, marketing mix optimizations and digital.

  • Extensive expertise and experience with both traditional SQL and modern NoSQL data stores including SQL, and large-scale distributed systems such as Hadoop and or working in Snowflake/Databricks

  • Strong experience with machine learning technology, such as: big data stack, Python, R, and visualization techniques

  • Extensive experience using data science models to solve problems in a business environment setting

  • Accountability for Results - focused on key strategic objectives, accountable for high standards of performance, and lead change

  • Strategic Thinking & Problem Solving – Ability to make decisions considering the long-term impact to clients, employees, and the business, and ability to translate data into actionable insights.

  • Proven experience in data analysis, machine learning, and predictive modeling.

  • Expertise in data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.

  • Strong understanding of sales and business analytics concepts.
