About the Team

At Nutanix, you will have the opportunity to join our Security Operations Center (SOC) team, a group dedicated to safeguarding our systems and data against cyber threats. The SOC team, with members spread across the AMER, EMEA, and APAC regions, operates under a 24/7 follow-the-sun model to ensure continuous monitoring and protection of Nutanix's digital assets. This global presence fosters a diverse and collaborative team culture where members support each other across different time zones to maintain a vigilant defense posture against cyber threats.

You will report to the Manager, SecOps Engineering and work remotely. At Nutanix, we believe in providing our employees with the flexibility to work from anywhere that suits them best. As such, this position requires remote work, and there is no mandate for the new hire to be present in the office on any specific days.

As part of the SOC team, you can expect to focus on enhancing Nutanix's cybersecurity posture from the comfort of your chosen workspace without the need for frequent travel.

Your Role

  • Provide expert analysis and advice on security matters

  • Manage and respond to security incidents

  • Lead a team of Security Analysts and drive continuous improvement initiatives

  • Identify and implement operational improvements

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders

  • Possess in-depth knowledge of security tools and incident investigation

  • Interpret threat intelligence and deploy countermeasures

  • Establish priorities and deliver objectives within a project management framework

What You Will Bring

  • 10+ years of experience as a Security Analyst or Security Engineer

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Expertise in security incident response

  • Ability to operate in a 24/7 security operations center

  • Detailed knowledge of security tools and threat intelligence

  • Proficiency in relevant security concepts and technologies

  • Experience in a fast-paced, global security operations environment

  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $ 124,480 and USD $ 247,800 per year.

However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
