The pace of innovation in artificial intelligence has never been faster. Large language models (LLMs) and Agentic AI are at the center of a technological revolution that promises not only to transform industries but also to redefine Oracle services and our methods of work. OCI customers and service across Oracle rely on OCI to deliver AI/ML capabilities they can use to transform their applications and improve their internal operations, in a timely and fiscally responsible manner. We are seeking an experienced Director of Technical Programs to lead a team of 2-3 members, focusing on complex, high-impact technical initiatives to accelerate Oracle products, internal operations, and our developers and knowledge worker productivity using AI.

The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical skills as well as an understanding of AI services. A technical program management background is a must have. We are looking for an individual with the ability to identify risks and issues in project scope and timelines, work through their team to closely track delivery for multiple projects, drive for clear and meaningful project outcomes, and ensure all stakeholders are fully always informed. The successful candidate will be reporting critical issues directly to the SVP and other stakeholders, therefore strong communication skills (written and verbal) are a must have.

Responsibilities

As a seasoned project management professional, you will lead complex, cross-functional initiatives while optimizing operational efficiency and financial governance. Your role will encompass:

Strategic Program Leadership

  • Spearhead the development and execution of comprehensive project plans, defining scope, requirements, and resource allocation for intricate, multi-faceted projects.

  • Establish and manage critical project deliverables, articulating project vision and ensuring optimal resource alignment.

  • Proactively navigate scope changes, assess impacts, and implement robust contingency strategies.

  • Orchestrate priorities across diverse departments, fostering collaboration with cross-functional partners.

  • Drive end-to-end execution of complex projects, ensuring timely and high-quality outcomes.

Financial Oversight and Compliance

  • Identify and mitigate project risks, reinforcing operational governance.

  • Manage budgets with precision, overseeing costs and maintaining detailed tracking mechanisms.

  • Collaborate with issue owners to ensure timely resolution of findings.

Process Optimization and Quality Assurance

  • Identify opportunities for process enhancement, spearheading initiatives to streamline software development workflows.

  • Guide teams in adhering to established processes while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Assess operational structures, providing strategic recommendations to business units for optimizing internal control frameworks.

  • Collaborate closely with internal and external domain experts to leverage best practices and industry insights.

This role requires a dynamic leader who can seamlessly blend strategic project management with operational excellence, driving innovation and efficiency across the organization.

PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • 10+ years of experience technical program management role

  • A natural problem-solver and strategic problem solver who takes ownership.

  • Efficiently and effectively communicating findings/progress to cross-functional teams, senior leadership, and the broader organizations

  • Comfortable driving teams to deliver results, speaking up, and challenging the status quo when needed

  • Advanced knowledge of auditing processes/procedures.

  • Ability to balance detail with departmental goals/objectives.

  • Competent interpersonal skills, with ability to lead projects and mentor others.

  • Ability to evaluate business processes and IT technology, identify risks and evaluate controls.

  • Advanced investigative and analytical skills.

  • Ability to translate business needs and problems to viable and accepted solutions.

  • Ability to collaborate with process owners across a wide variety of operational, functional, and technical disciplines.

  • Effectively coordinate with team members in different time zones.

  • Advanced degree in Engineering, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Management Information Systems, or equivalent education preferred.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $139,400 to $291,800 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

  8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

  10. Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
