Job Description

We are looking for a Director of Cloud Services to lead and expand our professional service offerings focused on Azure and AWS. This is a key leadership role where you will be responsible for setting the strategic direction, ensuring excellence in delivery, and driving growth in our cloud services. This role will coordinate significantly with the leaders of our Data & AI and Cybersecurity teams. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing cloud services for state and local government clients. This position will be full-time and remote.

What You’ll Do

  • Set the strategic direction for cloud service offerings with a focus on Azure and AWS

  • Serve as the liaison between AWS/Microsoft and CAI to enhance partnership opportunities and certifications

  • Develop and implement innovative solutions tailored to meet the needs of state and local government clients

  • Lead and mentor a team of cloud professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement

  • Ensure smooth and successful cloud application installations in client environments

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align cloud strategies with overall business objectives

  • Drive business growth through strategic partnerships and client engagement.

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and government regulations

  • Monitor emerging cloud technologies and trends to keep offerings competitive and cutting-edge

What You'll Need

Required:

  • Proven experience in leading cloud services initiatives, specifically within Azure and AWS environments

  • Strong background working with state and local government clients

  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills

  • Strategic thinking with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work effectively in a remote environment

Preferred:

  • Relevant certifications in cloud technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect)

  • Experience in developing and executing cloud strategies for public sector clients

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Physical Demands

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions

  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationery most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.

  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
