Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our clients team on a contract basis in Concord, California. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations by processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and maintaining organized records. Responsibilities:
• Process vendor invoices, ensuring accurate coding and timely entry into the financial system.
• Perform account reconciliations to ensure all transactions are properly recorded and discrepancies are resolved.
• Manage check runs, including preparing and distributing payments to vendors.
• Verify invoice details, including amounts, coding, and approvals, to maintain compliance with company policies.
• Enter data into the accounting system with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Collaborate with team members to address and resolve invoice discrepancies or payment issues.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all accounts payable transactions.
• Utilize software to support accounts payable functions and ensure seamless processing.
• Assist with month-end closing tasks related to accounts payable as needed.
Requirements
• Proven experience in accounts payable or a related financial role.
• Strong proficiency in account reconciliation and invoice coding.
• Excellent data entry skills with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
• Knowledge of the invoice processing and payment cycle.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills for working with vendors and internal teams
