This position is located in Commerce City, Colorado and has a Monday through Friday, 8am - 4:30pm work schedule.
Position Overview: As an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, you will support the maintenance needs of the organization with manufacturing equipment, ensuring proper mechanical/electrical function as well as general facility maintenance including preventive maintenance to improve manufacturing quality and reduce costs.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform general facility and manufacturing equipment maintenance and repairs of plant machinery and equipment such as mixers, conveyors, compressor systems, packaging and labeling systems, Inkjet printers, pumps, rollup doors and other repairs as needed.
Enhance equipment performance by installing modifications, fabricating and modifying new and existing equipment while maintaining the integrity of safety and warranty. Support organization's compliance with policies and procedures for internal and external regulatory requirements set by EPA and OSHA. Execute the set-up, inspection and breakdown of the various filling lines as needed. Respond to maintenance requests. Perform electrical, plumbing, and other misc. facility tasks. Perform routine maintenance of facilities to prevent mechanical failure. Promote an incident free workplace by complying with safety policies and procedures and participate in company safety training. Perform other related duties as required and assigned. (The hours are 8am-4:30pm.) Occasional overtime may be required. Assist in training production operators in various machine functions.
COMPETENCIES/EXPERIENCE:
Self-starter who can work in a fast paced/ever changing environment both individually and alongside the team Possess mechanical aptitude, being able to observe a machine in operation and learn how it operates, the ability to identify worn mechanical parts, electrical problems, conveyor belt problems, etc. Experience with electrical, pneumatics, switches, gears etc. Basic knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, welding and shop tools

Technical secondary education or 5+ years equivalent experience required Prior experience and working knowledge of machinery operations, pneumatic tools and strong mechanical aptitude Knowledge of Outlook, Word and Excel Ability to exercise independent judgement by identifying complex problems and reviewing related information Strong organizational skills Ability to learn quickly, improvise and be creative Excellent communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Industrial chemical manufacturing work history Welding, carpentry, plumbing PLC electronics, electrical wiring experience
