Aerotek Maintenance Mechanic in Commerce, California

THE DAY TO DAY:

  • $30/hr+ is the starting rate, depending on experience

  • 3rd shift, 10pm - 6:30am, Monday - Friday + weekends and OT if needed

  • Follow the preventive maintenance schedule in accordance with the equipment manufacturer's recommendation and industry accepted best practices for all plant equipment.

  • Maintain, repair or replace equipment, while performing basic mechanical and electrical repair work.

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair, 120V - 480V 1 phase/3 phase electrical equipment.

  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical systems.

  • Notice and report any abnormal conditions/ failures and take required corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence of such conditions.

  • Perform electrical testing, motor testing, fuse/continuity checks, and voltage/resistance/current relationships.

  • Perform machinery and basic equipment examinations to troubleshoot defects and visual wear Perform machine shop functions (sheet metal, steel layout and welding).

  • Detect and report defective materials
