LAWHON & ASSOCIATES, INC. Sr. NEPA Transportation Specialist in Columbus, Ohio
Lawhon & Associates (L&A) is seeking a scientist or engineer with fifteen years of transportation-related consulting experience to join our NEPA/Planning practice in a senior leadership role. The successful candidate will enjoy managing roadway, aviation and transit projects that require environmental or preliminary engineering services in a team-oriented, multi-disciplined and fast-paced environment. This is a full-time position (=32 hours per week) in our Columbus office, working directly with Managing Principals. There are opportunities for continued growth and advancement within the company.
Responsibilities
It is anticipated that workload will be distributed as follows: project pursuits and proposals (15%), project management (35%), technical delivery (35%), staff supervision and mentorship (15%). Specific responsibilities include:
- Staff supervision and workload management
- Business development
- Opportunity identification and evaluation
- Project teaming/partnering
- Qualifications/submittal compilation
- Scope and fee preparation
- Project and task management
- Technical deliverable preparation
- Project cost and invoicing oversight
- Client relationship management
- Coaching and mentorship
Qualifications
Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor's degree in an environmental or engineering-related field. They must have over 15 years of transportation-related consulting and project management experience, with knowledge of the ODOT/LPA process. Experience with NEPA and an engineering license in the State of Ohio is desired, but not required.
