Simulation Coordinator
Position Purpose:
The Simulation Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the use of best practices in the design, implementation, growth, support, and evaluation of simulation education curricula across the College. The Simulation Coordinator will supervise day-to-day simulation and skills training operations, including scheduling training sessions, designing and evaluating simulation cases based on educational principles, and maintaining the center's equipment, supplies, and routine upkeep. In collaboration with College faculty, health system staff, and the community, the Simulation Coordinator will identify course objectives and expected student outcomes, programming and implementing simulations to meet these goals. The Simulation Coordinator will partner with simulation staff, including a Laboratory and Simulation Technician and ensure the center meets its established objectives within priorities, time limitations, and funding constraints.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree required or equivalent combination of education and demonstrated teaching and/or hospital-based simulation experience; Masters degree preferred
License / Certification: Appropriate, active, State of Ohio licensure as required by program of instruction
· Experience: Minimum 5 years hospital-based and/or healthcare based academic simulation experience, including high-fidelity simulation programming and utilization of skills training equipment.
Demonstrating effective leadership and team-building with multidisciplinary teams across a health system.
Effective Communication Skills
Knowledge of curriculum development, implementation, debriefing and evaluation
Specific knowledge of simulation technology, equipment, and education
