JPMorgan Chase Operations Manager I Home Lending Assumptions in Columbus, Ohio

As an Operations Manager I in the Assumptions team, you are responsible for providing extraordinary support to customers in the assumptions application pipeline. You will oversee daily operations within our intake, disclosure, and closing teams and ensure objectives are consistently met while upholding departmental standards. You will be a flexible problem-solvers that leads by example and assist their team with escalated, complex, and or urgent matters. The ideal candidate for this role is a proven people leader with the ability to develop staff and influence positive change as well as possessing exceptional inventory management skills.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage a high volume pipeline

  • Define and monitor key operational metrics

  • Operate with a sense of urgency and use problem solving skills to resolve any issues that arise

  • Influence internal and external partners and promote process improvement

  • Develop a full understanding of daily tasks and processes performed by the staff

  • Communicate to senior management the current business health

  • Focus on staff development

  • Coach and lead by example to drive results

  • Select and retain talent; responsible for performance management of that talent

  • Have a customer focus

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 2+ years operational management experience leading a team

  • Prior experience in a mortgage servicing/origination role

  • Inventory Report Management Experience

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent relationship management skills

  • Knowledge of MSP preferred

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications, advanced MS Excel preferred
