What You’ll Be Doing:

Oncology Pharmacist, Medical Pharmacy

Collaboration Opportunities:

The Oncology Pharmacist role collaborates with the full clinical team, service organization, performance suite and provider solutions to ensure comprehensive and effective patient care.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Deliver provider and pharmacist education on value- based care and initiatives within pathway, policy, and beyond utilization management solutions.

  • Introduce innovative initiatives supported with evidence and initial data.

  • Development of publications such as New Drug Reviews, White Papers, and related external journal articles.

  • Support the development and review of clinical and health plan policies, workflows, job aids, drug pricing and costs with analysis, level one and two pathways, and related activities including monitoring FDA approvals and alerts.

  • Procure materials and presentation of pathway and similar recommendations at the Scientific Advisory Board.

  • Inform pathway and preferred drug list decisions.

  • Clinical support including maintenance of Medical Oncology clinical Q&As for provider portal, prior authorizations, lists, regimens, scope diagnoses, case review and related activities.

  • Review of Carepro treatment requests (e.g. clinical trial and Carepro drug requests).

  • Participating or leading internal and external meetings, including attendance at national oncology- hematology conferences.

  • This position may also serve as the clinical lead (SME) on the Rules Manager Team.

  • Ability to travel 15% for external meetings.

Qualifications - Required and Preferred:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD), Active Pharmacist License with no restrictions.

  • Board-Certified Oncology Pharmacist (BCOP) optional yet strongly recommended.

  • A minimum of 4 years of directly related experience working in an oncology-based setting as a subject matter expert or similarly related experience.

  • A minimum of 2 years of directly related experience working with providers in value-based care education.

  • Experience managing complex projects and organizing meetings across multiple disciplines within and outside the organization.

  • Experience reviewing clinical trials and using information to produce quality patient outcomes.

  • Experience with writing abstracts, publishing articles, and posters

Technical Requirements:

We require that all employees have the following technical capability at their home: High speed internet over 10 Mbps and, specifically for all call center employees, the ability to plug in directly to the home internet router. These at-home technical requirements are subject to change with any scheduled re-opening of our office locations.

The expected base salary/wage range for this position is $150,000 to $160,000. This position is also eligible for a bonus component that would be dependent on pre-defined performance factors. As part of our total compensation package, Evolent is proud to offer comprehensive benefits (including health insurance benefits) to qualifying employees. All compensation determinations are based on the skills and experience required for the position and commensurate with experience of selected individuals, which may vary above and below the stated amounts.
