Position Description:

 

We are looking for a Natural Gas Designer to join our ICE team to improve infrastructure in our Columbus office. Candidates must have a high school diploma, and zero or more years of drafting experience in the natural gas industry. Excellent technical writing, organization and communication skills are essential. Candidates must be self-motivated and able to work well with others. Knowledge of personal computer hardware and software configurations and familiarity with AutoCAD 3D is required. Periodic travel may be required. A flexible hybrid-remote work schedule may be available after 30 days of employment.

Typical responsibilities include:

- - Prepare computer drafted natural gas pipeline designs, as-builts, and mechanical detail drawings - Reproduce historic pipeline drawings in AutoCAD - Generate bill of materials - Ability to work independently - Print working drawings using a plotter - Create estimated time requirements for projects - Attend project-specific meetings to determine CAD schedules - Save project-specific data on a daily and weekly basis - Complete 811 design requests and coordinate responses to obtain 3rd party infrastructure - Verify and organize field visit survey notes - Assist Project Managers as needed - Attend meetings as needed - Maintain excellent client relations - Maintain a safe working environment

Education:

- - High school diploma required

Skills/Experience:

- - Knowledge of personal computer hardware and software configurations and familiarity with AutoCAD 3D is required. - Periodic travel may be required
