Description We are inviting applications for the role of IS Technical Specialist: II (Intermediate), based in Columbus, Ohio. This role is a short-term contract employment opportunity and entails providing technical and consultative support on complex technical matters. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and developing systems based on user specifications, and providing technical assistance in addressing hardware or software problems.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze user specifications and design systems accordingly

• Develop systems to meet user needs and specifications

• Provide technical and consultative support on complex technical matters

• Resolve hardware and software problems with in-depth knowledge of technical tools available for systems development and support

• Maintain knowledge of technical industry trends and apply them as necessary

• Provide technical assistance and support in solving hardware or software problems

• Utilize skills such as SQL, Oracle, REST API, Framework, JavaBeans, React, JSP, Maven, Java Development, Spring Boot, WebSphere, and Spring MVC

• Contribute to specific projects as a project leader when required

• Assist in identifying training needs and provide training to less experienced staff when necessary

• Support workstation with computer hardware and software problems. Requirements • Possesses proficiency in SQL and Oracle

• Demonstrates expertise in JavaBeans and Java Development

• Has experience with REST API, SOAP APIs and Spring Boot

• Familiarity with RxJS, React and Spring MVC is required

• Proficient in Maven, Servlets, and JSP

• Has knowledge of computer hardware and can provide technical assistance

• Experience with workstation support and troubleshooting software problems

• Familiarity with EO/IR systems is a plus

• Ability to understand and write specifications

• Experienced in deployments and framework
