Actalent Interior Design Coordinator in Columbus, Ohio

Actalent Inc. is currently hiring for a Interior Design Coordinator to become an Actalent Consultant and support a large hospital system in the Columbus, OH area.

Description:

As the Interior Design Coordinator you will primarily coordinate the implementation of facilities projects for the Engineering Department. Responsibilities will include developing project scope, estimating, and managing design services to execute the assigned projects. You will also design within AutoCAD.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Manages and maintains the existing environmental brand graphics asset library. Provides/reviews graphic artwork for work order requests. Reviews outside graphic packages for brand continuity. Manages artwork program assets, framing, installation, and redeployment for under funded projects.

  • Ensures design documents meet requirements and brand standards for building systems, finishes, furniture, signage, FFE, and enhancements. Coordinates fit up and move management activities.

  • Manages small projects or supports portions of other managers projects at a task level

  • Coordinates and communicates project phases including project schedule, phasing plans, and Hospital communications. Ensures all phases and project work are completed in accordance with all company processes, contract documents, and applicable regulations.

  • Reviews requests large scale strategic plan initiatives, capital funding requests, MAC (Moves, Adds, Change) requests or other special projects for feasibility.

  • Creates cost estimates and project schedules

  • Solicits design professionals such as architects, vendors, consulting teams, and contractors.

Placement Type:

This would be a full-time W-2 position with Actalent where you are a consultant supporting this hospital system on-site & you would be integrated in with their design department. For this role, you would would be supporting the hospital system for anywhere from 6 - 12 months long. Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, MEP, Interior Design, or a related field

  • Understanding of building construction and how design is incorporated with building construction

  • Knowledge of AutoCAD for Interior Design design/drafting

  • Understanding of engineering principles
