Ohio Machinery Co General Manager Major Accounts in Columbus, Ohio

JOB SUMMARY:

The General Manager Major Accounts will collaborate with the General Sales Manager and the Rental Strategic Account Manager to grow market share and improve profitability. The General Manager Major Accounts will participate in all industry associations (OCA, OAIMA, ISRI).

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Specific duties include but are not limited to Leveraging and maintaining productive, professional relationships with key personnel in the assigned customer account. Coordinates the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, in order to meet account performance objectives and customers’ expectations. Meets assigned targets for strategic objectives in an assigned account. Proactively leads a joint company-strategic account planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones for a one and three – year period. Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs on an ongoing basis. Leads solution development efforts that best address customer needs while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company personnel. Maintains high customer satisfaction ratings that meet company standards.

The General Manager, Major Accounts manages the Cat Cat Paving Specialist, and the pump and shoring team, and maintains a functional relationship with the rental strategic account manager to ensure alignment with company goals. General Manager Major Accounts manages the company's sales and rental efforts in key industries, such as, but not limited to, waste, scrap metals, and paving.

Demonstrates the following competencies: excellent verbal and written communication skills, planning and organization skills, project management and prioritization skills, and teamwork skills.

Must be a leader with great people skills, an enthusiastic personality, a proven communicator, and the ability to teach job responsibilities to new team members. Secondly, sound organizational skills with the ability to coordinate programs and logistics associated with the programs. A lesser emphasis is placed on mechanical aptitude although this is very beneficial. Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, or related field, MBA is a plus; or equivalent combined education and work experience. 8+ years of experience in a large account leadership role in service delivery or a similar industry. 10+ years of relevant senior-level management experience in a sophisticated and complex metric-driven environment with a focus on executive operations management, including strategic planning and follow-through, budgeting, and P&L. Prior business development experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard, and to verbally communicate to exchange information. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
