Responsibilities * Oversees the work of the Environmental Services staff and Maintenance Technicians crew, ensuring that they are performing their duties safely and efficiently. * Builds a preventative maintenance schedule to mitigate major repairs. Ensure all areas of the preventative maintenance program are complete and performed on a regular basis. * Assigns tasks to crew members and ensures that they have the necessary tools and equipment to complete them. * Monitors the progress of ongoing projects and adjusts as necessary to ensure that they are completed on time and within budget. * Maintains accurate records of work completed, materials used, and time spent on each project, including inspections, problems, and keeps an accurate list of major assets. * Communicates with other departments, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure that their needs are being met and that any issues are addressed in a timely manner. * Trains new crew members and ensures that they are following all safety protocols and procedures. Qualifications Skills: * Working knowledge of electrical system, heating and cooling system, elevator system, waterlines, security system, gate system, fire panel, and House appliances. * Interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with research staff and other hospital personnel. * Strong delegation and managerial skills required to plan, direct, and evaluate the work of assigned staff. * Problem solving and organization skills. Education: Two year technical degree or related experience Experience: Advance knowledge of mechanical systems, preferred.
