McKesson Corporation Data Rights Analyst in Columbus, Ohio

We are currently seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Data Rights Analyst to join our team and provide expert guidance on data usage rights and compliance. Our ideal candidate would be based in Columbus, OH near our CoverMyMeds headquarters, but we will consider a highly-qualified, fully-remote candidate. We are not able to provide sponsorship for this position. What You'll Do As a Data Rights Analyst, your daily to-dos will shift with business needs, but here's a snapshot of what to expect: Facilitate conversations about data usage rights assessments with key stakeholders to support identifying potential risks, vulnerabilities, and value propositions. Manage and process data rights requests, ensuring timely and accurate submissions for review. Assist in drafting, refining, and implementing data rights-related policies and procedures. Collaborate with data governance to ensure data assets and flows are documented as needed. Ensure that all data rights obligations, permissions, and restrictions are meticulously documented and accessible for reference. Provide support in negotiating and managing data usage agreements, data sharing agreements, and data licensing contracts. Design and deliver training sessions and workshops to educate clients and their teams on data usage rights, compliance, and best practices. Keep abreast of changes in data rights regulations and best practices such as GDPR, CCPA, and upcoming legislation and make recommendations for organizational adoption. Skills You'll Need Bachelor's degree. Focus or concentration in Law, Data Ethics, Regulatory Management, Information Security, or a related field a plus. A minimum of 4 years working in data, analytics or compliance role with experience working directly with regulatory and legal usage rights, data protection, or a related topic preferred. Comprehensive knowledge of laws and regulations concerning data rights, privacy, and protection such as GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, etc. Ability to review, interpret, and understand complex contractual clauses related to data ownership, sharing, usage, and restrictions. Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to data rights in contractual agreements and operations. Understanding methods and approaches to negotiating data rights terms in contracts to align with organizational priorities and regulatory compliance. Understanding of data governance principles to align data rights with overall organizational data management strategies. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients and internal teams. Strong project management skills, with a proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines. A high level of professionalism, integrity, and commitment to maintaining client confidentiality. Preferred Skills Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) or similar certification is strongly preferred.
